Leopard carcass found in Jasadhar

RAJKOT: A carcass of a male leopard aged 10-12 years was found from Nava Ugla village of Jasadhar forest range of Gir east division Saturday morning.

According to forest officials, the carcass was found in the farm of one Gordhan Gorasia, who had spotted the dead animal and informed the forest officials.
The Jasadhar round staff scanned the farmland and surrounding area but did not find anything suspicious. The carcass was sent to Jasadhar animal care center for postmortem. However, cause of death is still unknown.
