RAJKOT:
Forest department officials rescued a two-month-old male lion cub from a
well in Rabarika forest round of Gir (East) division in Amreli district
on Thursday morning.
A farmer of Moti-Barman village in
Khambha taluka Vallabh Muljibhai discovered that a lion cub had fallen
into a well on his farm and informed the forest department officials.
"We rescued the lion cub and released it into the wild. The lioness was
around in that area and the cub was united with his mother,'' said an
official.
