Lion attacks man who tired to save cattle from the predator

Vanjar was attacked by the lion where he had taken his cattle for grazing near the sanctuary area Rajkot: Bijal Vanjar (37) suffered serious injuries when he was attacked by a lion in Khajuri Ness of Jasadhar range in Gir (east) forest range on Tuesday.
According to forest officials, Vanjar, a cattle breeder was attacked when he tried to save his livestock from a male lion.

The male lion suddenly appeared from the forest when Vanjar was grazing his livestock near the sanctury area. When the lion tried to hunt his cattle, Vanjar tried to protect the animals. In the process he suffered injuries on his hand and thighs. He was taken to a government hospital in Una, where his condition is said to be stable. The forest department has deployed field staff in the village to observe the movement of the lion for next few days.
