Nov 9 (UNI) A lion cub, rescued from West Gir forests, in sick
condition died on Saturday at the animal care centre in Jamvala in Gir
Somnath district in Gujarat.

Junagadh D T Vasavada said that a male lion cub, aged around two to
three months, was rescued from the Ghatvad round of the forests in
Harmadiya beat on Friday by the forest department staff.
It died of anemia at the animal care centre where it was kept for treatment, he informed.
