Temperatures are already soaring and scorching summer is still a month away. After a long and cold winter, people are sweating under the blistering heat. Fans and water coolers have now occupied their previous spots and the season of lip-smacking ice-creams is here.
As people are ditching the noon time for any outdoor activity, animals are also looking for respite.
Coolers
are installed in the cages of animals to give them respite from balmy
days of summer. In the lion’s den Gujarat, the temperature is touching
40 degree celsius in the Gir sanctuary. The heat has become so
unbearable that it forced three lions to seek shade on railway tracks.
A
video clip of the lions having a good time near the tracks was shot by
one of the train passengers. A railway official told the Times of India
it took constant honking for about 20 minutes to prompt the lions to
move away from the tracks.
It
appeared that they had come to save themselves from the blistering
heat. The driver in the video can be heard saying, “They are not going
to move from here (the railway track). While one lion was sitting right
on the track, the other two were sitting near it.
Despite blowing the horn, the lions would get up stretch themselves and them assume the same position. The engine driver said that apart from blowing the horn they had to move the train at a slow speed to signal the cats that they were sitting on the wrong path.https://www.indiatimes.com/news/india/lions-chill-like-a-boss-on-railway-track-to-take-shade-from-heat-keeps-train-waiting-for-20-minutes-365004.html
