Note Mudran Private Limited (BRBNML), here has renewed its adoption of
animals at the century-old Mysuru zoo for the third consecutive year.
BRBNML
has renewed adoption of an Asiatic lion, a tiger, an African hunting
cheetah, two giraffes and a zebra under the animal adoption scheme for a
period of one year from July 7, 2018 to July 8, 2019.
A fee of Rs 5 lakh towards the adoption costs of the animals was paid to the zoo management.
“The
interest shown by BRBNML since past three years for the adoption of
large mammals is commendable. It will inspire other corporate bodies and
charitable institutions to take part in the animal adoption scheme,”
said Zoo Executive Director Ajit M Kulkarni, in a release here on
Wednesday.
Since April 1, 145 animals have been adopted by animal
lovers and wildlife enthusiasts paying a collective fees of Rs.
15,48,500.
H.S. Thakur Desai, General Manager, K. Narayanan, Deputy
General Manager, K.S. Dharmappa, Labour Welfare Officer, and N.G.
Muruli, Manager, visited the Zoo and received the adoption certificate
from the Zoo Director.
